Exterior coating systems

The exterior coating system on a property is not only there to look good: [replace : with ,] its primary function is to provide a weatherproof seal that protects the property.

Exterior coating systems consist of layers of products that work together to form an effective barrier. Any breakdown of the top layer of the system (generally the paint) can expose the property to water ingress and further costly damage.

It all starts with the preparation from removing drummy delaminated render, cracking etc. and using an algaecide to kill all mould and lichen with high-pressure cleaning before any coating system is applied.

This property located at Sunshine Beach on the Sunshine Coast, was badly in need of an upgrade. The existing render and paint was in poor condition and corroded metal had degraded large patches of the render, exposing areas of the building to the elements.

Our team cut away the old concrete, treated and encapsulated the corroded metals beneath and patched the holes before applying the new render system.
